Memgraph

Memgraph is an in-memory, Bolt-compatible graph database with Neo4j-compatible Cypher. Drivine reuses the Neo4j driver stack — only the Cypher dialect differs (no APOC; collection sorting via CALL subqueries).

Notes:

  • Full ACID transactions (startTransaction / commit / rollback all work as expected)
  • EXISTS { pattern } and nested pattern comprehensions are supported, so @GraphView queries use the same inline projector as Neo4j
  • No APOC — use MAGE for procedures; collection sorting uses CALL subqueries by default
  • No CascadeType.DELETE_ORPHAN: Memgraph cannot use EXISTS inside WITH, so a save or delete that asks for it throws UnsupportedOperationException. On StatelessGraphObjectManager, Replace(field, removedTargets = DELETE_UNREFERENCED) works on Memgraph
  • For MAGE algorithms or Memgraph Lab, switch the image to memgraph/memgraph-platform
